TOUR EXPERIENCE
The Acatenango Glamping Hike is one of the most sought-after volcano hiking tours in Guatemala. This journey begins in Antigua and takes you through diverse terrain farmland, cloud forest, and high-altitude pine forest on a guided hike to our private glamping basecamp at 3,548 meters.
Our route starts higher than most agencies, skipping the steepest lower climb and avoiding crowds. The hike is challenging, but fully supported. You’ll be led by certified bilingual guides who move at your pace, ensure safety, and share insight into the mountain and its ecosystems.
As you ascend, the views openvolcanoes stretch across the horizon, clouds drift below, and if conditions are clear, Fuego Volcano erupts in the distance. Our basecamp sits directly across from it, giving you a rare chance to sleep beside an active volcano, in warmth and comfort.
This is more than a hike it’s a curated, adventure for those who want to connect deeply with Guatemala’s wildest landscape.

“The attention to detail was incredible. Our guide Jorge was the most attentive and kind person throughout the trip. The facilities are top-notch, and every meal they cooked felt like it came from a restaurant. NOMA is truly committed to responsible tourism.”
— Valeria Dumas,
“Incredible. I just came down from Acatenango and I couldn’t feel more grateful. All-inclusive camping with every comfort, amazing food, and warm sleeping bags for the cold. The best part? It’s private—you hardly see anyone else, which is rare on this volcano. Antonio and Chepe welcomed us with the best energy. Highly recommended.”
