Explore Acatenango without the hike. This overnight volcano experience takes you up a 4x4-only dirt road to our glamping camp at 3,548 meters, facing the erupting Fuego Volcano.

ITINERARY
DAY ONE
⟶ Pickup in Antigua
Between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. from your selected location.
⟶ Scenic Drive
1 hr drive to the base of the volcano, through farmland and local communities.
⟶ 4x4 Ascent
1 hr drive up a private, forest-lined volcano road—steep, remote, and stunning.
⟶ Volcano Walk
40-minute guided walk (not steep), wrapping around Acatenango’s slope to reach camp.
✦ Arrival + Lunch at Camp
Hot, locally prepared lunch served as you settle in and take in the view.
◬ Optional: Fuego Volcano Sunset Hike
3–4 hour roundtrip hike led by local guides for those who want a closer look at the lava and eruptions.
✦ Evening at Basecamp
Wine & cheese, gourmet dinner, and nighttime views of erupting Fuego by the fire.
DAY TWO
◬ Optional Sunrise Summit Hike to Acatenango
Wake at 4:00 a.m. to ascend Acatenango for sunrise or stay warm and watch it from camp.

Traditional Guatemalan breakfast: eggs, avocado, chorizo, fresh coffee & tea.
⟶ Walk Back to the Vehicle
40-minute trail back through the forest.
⟶ 4x4 Descent + Return to Antigua
Approx. 11:30 a.m. arrival, depending on group rhythm and weather.
